Our Story: A Passion for Proper Pints

We are a husband and wife team (Mark and Cheryl) that run this micropub which opened in April 2020. We also run Three B's Rooms, our sister business in the center of Bridlington.

We have both worked at beer festivals for many years, and, as members of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), we are both involved in the Great British Beer Festival.

We are passionate about what should make a great pub, and we hope our many years of visiting pubs, particularly micropubs, has helped us to create as much as possible a really great pub experience.

An article with details of how we started the Micropub is available here. A more recent article from the Morning Advertiser can be found here.

The Heart of Your Visit: Quality and Community

What we offer (or not as the case might be):

We would like to be known for what we DON'T offer! The micropub association defines a micropub as "A micropub is a small free house which listens to its customers, mainly serves cask ales, promotes conversation, shuns all forms of electronic entertainment and dabbles in traditional pub snacks".

We have always aimed to stick to that guiding principle as much as possible, so we don't offer;

  • A jukebox

  • Any gaming or “fruit” machines

  • Any sports or other live (or recorded) TV

  • Mass produced “keg” products

  • Cocktails

  • “Ready to drink” bottles commonly known as Alcopops

  • Fried food

  • Late night opening

"A great little pub!

We had seen this place advertised before our visit to Bridlington and thought it was worth a visit we enjoyed it so that we went twice. It is very small but they are moving to slightly larger premises. The owner was so friendly and because there is no loud music etc we were able to sit and chat to people. We would definitely go back!
